About the prototype:

   The reclining chair with high armrests was originally designed by furniture maker Ephraim Coleman in Sussex, England, in 1866. Later, the chair was improved and modified by the designer and businessman William Morris, and put into mass production by his firm Morris & Company. That is why the chair came to be called the Morris chair. The Morris chair has many options for the appearance and backrest tilt mechanism, but basically they are divided into two types. The first type, the English "traditional" Morris chair, belongs to the Arts and Crafts Movement style, founded by William Morris himself in the second half of the 19th century, and carries a strong Victorian influence. The second type - the American style "Mission" or "Craftsman", appeared and spread widely in America in 1904 thanks to the designer and publisher of the magazine "Craftsman" Gustav Stickley. The armchair is one of the most successful embodiments of design ideas, it is still popular and is sold at antique auctions, and its drawings continue to be published in the Craftsman magazine.
   The prototype for this 3D model was an American-style Morris chair. The backrest tilt adjustment mechanism is made of wood and consists of two spokes with clips inserted into the wooden backrest frame and into the armrests. The chair has a wooden base with simple rectangular elements, wide curved armrests, stable straight legs in the form of square-section bars. The dark brown leather seat and back cushion are also rectangular in shape. The armchair is suitable for interiors of living rooms, halls, offices, libraries, made in the American "Craftsman" style.
