Description

  About the prototype:
  The battery-powered SACM (from the French Societe Alsacienne de Constructions Mecaniques - Alsace Society of Mechanical Engineering) 21 tonne railway tractor is one of two locomotives built for a coal washing plant in Chavannes, France. The plant required additional locomotives due to increased coal production and infrastructure expansion. One of these tractors has been preserved to this day and is located in the mining museum "Musee de la Mine Blanzy" in Blanzy, France.
