Description
3D model of a coffee service Form 2000 Rosenthal (1954)
About the prototype:
The coffee service Form 2000 Rosenthal (1954) is designed for six people and includes a coffee pot, a jug of cream and six cups with saucers. The coffee pot, the cream jug and the cup are shaped like a double cone. The service was designed from 1952 to 1954 by the american industrial designer Raymond Loewy together with Richard Latham, and was produced until 1977. Since 1961, the service Form 2000 has become a part of the Studio Line (and later as an independent brand) of the German manufacturer Rosenthal, and later on, its most famous and best-selling tableware.
The Rosenthal manufactory was founded in 1879 as a family-owned porcelain business. After the approval of the design, the composition of the service expanded significantly and began to include a large number of dishes. Initially, the service was white, but later it was decorated by various artists in more than 200 versions. The first Form 2000 service is a museum piece and is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The color is white.
The coffee service is made of glazed porcelain.
