  About the prototype:
The caboose made in Pointe St.Charles workshop by order of Canadian National Railways in 1976 as a train escort car. Later it was adapted to meet the needs of Operation LifeSaver.
Operation Lifesaver is the largest rail safety organization in the United States. It was founded by the Union Pacific Railroad  in the early 1970s. In 1981, Canada’s railway companies joined forces with federal, provincial and municipal governments across the country to come up with a concrete plan to improve rail safety.
These railcars combine a mobile office, a safety monitoring station, and a mobile advertising billboard. Late model cabooses, to which this railcar belongs, did not have batteries, but had a propane tank and a propane-powered generator.

The caboose is made of metal, glass, wood.
