  About the prototype:
  The steam locomotive No.107 Prairie type manufactured by Baldwin Locomotive Works Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, with a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement, was manufactured for the Industrial Lumber Company (ILC), located in
Oakdale, Louisiana, USA. It was operated by ILC for 50 years, hauling wood to the paper mill. the paper mill. The steam locomotive was subsequently abandoned in the swamps due to the closure of ILC.
   In 1976, railway and transport enthusiast and fan Bill Graham became aware of the steam locomotive No.107. In 1977, he brought the steam locomotive with tender to Fort Edmonton Park (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), where he and his team renovated the steam locomotive and made significant changes to its design. One of the major changes was the conversion of the locomotive and tender to a different fuel in order to save money (the locomotive was originally powered by wood), as well as repainting it. A railway was laid around Fort Edmonton Park for the steam locomotive. The steam locomotive began running on it in May 1978. That same year, Bill Graham sold the steam locomotive to the Fort Edmonton fund. Since then, the steam locomotive has been a main sightseeing and popular attraction at the Fort Edmonton Park.
    For now, a steam locomotive transports visitors around the park on the four-kilometre-long Edmonton-Yukon & Pacific (EY&P) - the railway line that pays homage to the first railway Edmonton. In 2007, the steam locomotive was involved in the making of the film "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", starring Brad Pitt. The train was updated for the film, including painting the locomotive a different colour and renovating the coach and dining car, which were donated to the park after filming.

   The train of Fort Edmonton Park includes:

 - Coach 300 Pullman 1914 was acquired from Canadian National Railway (CNR)   
 - Day Coach 304 Pullman 1914 was acquired from Northern Alberta Railway (NAR)              
 - Caboose 210 is a remodelled CNR yard caboose outfitted so passengers can stand at the window
 - Caboose 308 CNR was retrofitted in 1996 to accomodate passengers with reduced mobility
 - Also there is a rail car CN 1912  that acts as a dinnig car, but it is not included in the train.

Model Note.  The steam locomotive "Edmonton Yukon & Pacific 107" is presented as it looked in 2007 in green and yellow livery (which was later changed to the current black and gold livery), but with the already modernised tender.
